Wastegate Actuator: Service and Repair

Charge Air Regulation Vacuum Diaphragm

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Remove the turbocharger. Refer to => [ Turbocharger ] Turbocharger.

- Remove the circlip - arrow - from the vacuum diaphragm linkage.






- Disconnect the vacuum line - 2 - from the vacuum diaphragm - 1 -.






- Remove the vacuum diaphragm bolts - arrows - and diaphragm - 1 - from the turbocharger.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
