Air Injection Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair






Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve (N112)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

To perform this procedure, the Ground cable must be disconnected from battery. Check whether a coded radio is installed. If so, obtain the anti-theft code beforehand.

- Remove the engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Engine Cover.

- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to => [ Air Filter Housing ] Air Filter Housing.

- Remove the battery and the battery tray.

- Disconnect the connector - A - and the line - B - from the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) solenoid valve.






Press the securing ring to disengage the hose.

- Loosen the coolant pipe by removing the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the AIR solenoid valve.






Installing

Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Secondary Air Injection System Overview ] Service and Repair.

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

- Replace the seal.

- Follow the notes after connecting the battery.
