Instrument Cluster






Instrument Cluster

Before removing the instrument cluster, perform the => [ Instrument Cluster Replacing ] Testing and Inspection procedure to read out the data saved in the Instrument Cluster Control Module (J285).


Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

Remove the key.

Removing

It is not necessary to remove the steering wheel.

- Pull the steering wheel all the way out and then lower it as far down as it will go.

- Remove the upper section of the steering column trim.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Pull the instrument cluster back out of the instrument panel while being careful of the connected wires.

- Move the securing clip - 1 - in - direction of arrow - and disconnect the connector - 2 -.






- Remove the instrument cluster from the vehicle.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the threaded connections to 1.5 Nm.
