Center Vent






Center Vent

Removing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

- Switch off the ignition.

- Remove the instrument panel center trim.

- Remove the radio.

Vehicles with a radio/navigation systems

- Remove the radio/navigation system, if equipped.

All vehicles

- Lower the steering wheel to the lowest position.






- Pull the steering wheel out as far as it will go.

- Loosen the gap cover from the top of the steering column trim using the (3409). It is not necessary to remove the whole steering column trim.

- Remove the bolt - 3 - (1.5 Nm).

- Open the clips on the center vent - arrows - using the (3409) and pull it out slightly from the instrument cluster trim, with the center vent - 1 -.

- Open the clips on the left vent with the (3409) and pull it out slightly from the instrument cluster trim and the left vent - 1 -.

- Open the clips - 4 - on the instrument cluster trim - 1 - using the (3409) and pull it out slightly.

- Disconnect the wiring harness for the Emergency Flasher Switch (E3) and remove the instrument cluster trim and the left and center vents - 1 - from the instrument panel - 2 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Check all fasteners for damage and replace them if necessary for installing.
