Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

Vibration Damper Seal, Replacing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Thrust Piece (T10354)

• Pulling Hook (T20143)

• Thrust Piece (T10368)

Removing

- Remove the vibration damper. Refer to => [ Vibration Damper ] Service and Repair.

- Install the thrust piece (T10368).






- Use the pulling hook (T20143) to remove the seal.

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Ribbed Belt Overview ] Ribbed Belt Overview.

- Clean the running and sealing surface.

- Remove the thrust piece (T10368).






- Pull the seal - arrow - in using the thrust piece (T10354) and the vibration damper bolt.






• Replace the vibration damper bolt and the O-ring - 1 -.






Further installation is in the reverse order of removal.
