Release Button in Rear Lid Handle

Removing

- Remove the trim panel from the rear lid.

- Disconnect the connector - 3 - from the button - 2 -.






- Remove the nuts - 4 - from the threaded pins on the rear lid handle unlock switch (E234) and remove the cover - 1 -.

- Remove the button - 2 - from the rear lid.

The rear lid can be opened using the emergency release in the lock if there is an electrical malfunction. Refer to => [ Rear Lid Latch ] Rear Lid Latch. The emergency release is reached through an opening in the rear lid trim panel.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Nut tightening specification: 6 Nm

• Perform a function test on the unlocking components before closing the rear lid.
