Subframe Retaining Bracket






Subframe Retaining Bracket


Observe safety precautions.

On this vehicle for example, replacement of the subframe retaining bracket is described for the front left retaining bracket. Work procedure must be transferred to the other 3 retaining brackets accordingly as necessary.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Resistance spot welder (VAS 6239 A) or

Resistance spot welder (VAS 6525) or

Resistance spot welder (VAS 6530) or

Resistance spot welder (VAS 6535) or

Resistance spot welder (VAS 6545)

MIG soldering and welding units (VAS 6382)

Gas-shielded welder 250A (VAS 6045A)

Removing






- Separate the original connection.






- Remove residual material.

Installing

When using different types of steel and materials of different strengths, one of the inverters listed under Special Tools are required to perform repair work correctly.

Preparing New Parts

Replacement part

Front subframe retaining bracket (replacement part identification: retaining bracket mounting frame)

- Drill holes with a 8 mm diameter for a gas shielded arc plug weld seam






Welding in

- Fit new part to vehicle standing on alignment bracket set and secure.






- Weld in new part, gas-shielded arc plug weld seam and gas-shielded arc continuous weld seam.
