Air Door Cable: Service and Repair

Temperature Door Release Cable

Removing

- Remove controls for hot air and fresh air, refer to => [ Heat and Fresh Air Controls ] Heat and Fresh Air Controls.






- Reach in the center console and loosen the retainer - 1 - on the cable grommet - 2 -. Remove the grommet.

- Loosen the ball on the cable - 3 - from the lever.

- Remove driver side footwell trim. Refer to Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim under.






- Unclip Bowden cable at adjusting unit of temperature doors - A - and unclip heater - B -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this, make sure that Bowden cable lies under the hook - arrow -.






- Check whether the temperature control can be moved easily from cold to warm.
