Drive Belt Tensioner: Service and Repair

Ribbed Belt Tensioner

Removing

- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.

- Loosen the clamp - 2 -, lift the circlip - 1 - and remove the charge air cold side hose.






- Remove the fan shroud and fans. Refer to => [ Fan Shroud and Fans ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - from the charge air pipe and disconnect the connector - 1 - from the charge air pressure sensor.






- Open the clamp - 2 -, free up the coolant hose - 3 - and remove the charge air pipe.






- Remove the bolt - 2 - and remove the belt tensioner - 1 -.






Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order. When doing this note the following:

• Replace the bolt for the belt tensioner.

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Ribbed Belt Overview ] Ribbed Belt Overview.

• Install the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.
