Fluid - M/T: Service and Repair

Transmission Fluid, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench 5-50 Nm (V.A.G 1331)

• Triple Square Socket Driver (3357)

For the correct transmission fluid, refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Remove the gear oil check plug - arrow -.






The level is correct when the transmission fluid comes up to the bottom edge of the filler hole.

- Install the plug - arrow - with a new gasket.

- Tighten the plug to the tightening specification. Refer to => [ Different Versions of the Oil Fill
and Drain Plugs ].

Note the Following when Filling for the First Time:

- Remove the plug - arrow -.

- Fill the transmission fluid up to the lower ledge of the filler hole.

- Install the plug - arrow - with a new gasket.

- Tighten the plug to the tightening specification. Refer to => [ Different Versions of the Oil Fill and Drain Plugs ].

- Attach the noise insulation.
