Fuel Injector Teflon Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Tool Set (T10133)

The Teflon seal must not be oiled.

Procedure

- Carefully remove the old Teflon seal with the appropriate tool (for example, cut the seal open with a razor blade, spread it outward with a small screwdriver and remove it forward). When doing this, be sure not to damage the groove and the rib in the groove base.

- Thoroughly clean the fuel injector around the seal - arrow - and remove any deposits (coking) using a brass brush.






- Carefully cut the seal using a knife.

- Clean the seal.

- Place a new seal onto the assembly cone (T10133/5) and slide the assembly sleeve (T10133/6) as far as possible onto the assembly cone (T10133/5).






- Turn the assembly sleeve (T10133/6) and slide the seal all the way to the end on the assembly cone (T10133/5).






- Place the assembly cone (T10133/5) onto the fuel injector and slide the seal onto the fuel injector with the assembly sleeve (T10133/6).






- Remove the assembly cone (T10133/5) and slide the seal on with the assembly sleeve (T10133/6) all the way up to the groove.

- Press the sizing sleeve (T10133/7) with a slight turning motion (approximately 180°) onto the fuel injector until it stops.






- Turn the sizing sleeve (T10133/7) in the opposite direction and remove it.

- Press the sizing sleeve (T10133/8) with a slight turning motion (approximately 180°) onto the fuel injector until it stops.






- Turn the sizing sleeve (T10133/8) in the opposite direction and remove it.

- Replace the O-ring on the fuel injector and the support washer.

- Install the fuel injector again with the support ring - 1 - and clip in the radial compensation - 2 - on the support ring.
