Oil Line: Service and Repair






Turbocharger Oil Supply Line

Removing

- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to => [ Air Filter Housing Overview ] Air Filter Housing Overview.

- Remove the hot side charge air pipe, see - item 15 - in the => [ Charge Air System Components Overview ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the connecting pipe (- item 2 - in the => [ Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Component Overview ] Service and Repair) from the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler.

- Remove the lower nut - arrow - for the vacuum line on the cylinder head.






- Loosen the union nuts on the oil filter adapter and on the turbocharger.

- Loosen the bolt - arrow - for the clamp.






- Remove the oil supply line.

Installing

The procedure must be adhered to, in order to guarantee a tension free installation of the oil supply line.

- Install the union nuts for the oil supply line onto the connections.

- Tighten the union nut to the oil filter adapter hand tight.

- Tighten the union nut to the turbocharger hand tight.

- Tighten the union nut to the oil filter adapter first and then the union nut to the turbocharger to 22 Nm.

- Mount the clamp and tighten the bolt to 10 Nm.

- Install the connecting pipe (- item 2 - in the => [ Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Component Overview ] Service and Repair) to the EGR cooler.

- Install the hot side charge air pipe, see - item 15 - in the => [ Charge Air System Components Overview ] Service and Repair.

- Install the air filter housing. Refer to => [ Air Filter Housing Overview ] Air Filter Housing Overview.
