Fog Lamp Bulb and Static Cornering Lamp, GTI

The Left fog lamp bulb (L22) and the Right fog lamp bulb (L23) also work as a static cornering lamp, depending on the vehicle equipment level. The fog lamp bulb can be replaced through a cover inside the front wheel housing liner without having to remove the fog lamp.

Removal

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Unclip the cover - 1 - from the front wheel housing liner.






- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Turn the fog lamp bulb - 1 - in - direction of arrow - and pull it out of the fog lamp housing.






Fog lamp bulb : H8 12V, 35W

• The fog lamp bulb and the bulb socket are a single piece and cannot be disassembled.

Installation:

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• Make sure the cover audibly engages when installed.
