Muffler and Mounts Overview






1 Mounting Strap

• For the fuel tank.

2 Suspended Mount

• Replace if damaged.

3 Bolt

• 23 Nm

• Always replace.

4 Retaining Loop

• Replace if damaged.

5 Exhaust Pipe

6 Bolt/Nut

• 23 Nm

7 Suspended Mount

• Replace if damaged.

8 Rear Muffler

• For repairs, replace each separately.

• Exhaust system separating and connecting. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Separating and Connecting ] Exhaust System, Separating and Connecting.

• Align the exhaust system free of stress. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Aligning ] Exhaust System, Aligning.

• Exhaust system, checking for leaks. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Checking for Leaks ] Testing and Inspection.

9 Nut

• Tighten the nuts evenly. Tightening specification, refer to => [ Clamping Sleeve Locations ] Procedures.

10 Repair Clamping Sleeve

• For individual replacement of the exhaust pipe and rear mufflers.

• Note the installed position, refer to => [ Clamping Sleeve Locations ] Procedures.

• Exhaust system separating and connecting. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Separating and Connecting ] Exhaust System, Separating and Connecting.

• Align the exhaust system free of stress. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Aligning ] Exhaust System, Aligning.

• Tighten the nuts evenly.
