One-Piece Washer Fluid Reservoir

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing

- Switch off the ignition and all electrical consumers and move the ignition key or start button into the 0 position (preliminary engaged position).

- Remove the front bumper cover.

- Remove the right headlamp. Refer to 357 => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp or 358 => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

- Unclip all lines from windshield washer system tank.

- Remove the mounting bolts - 1 -, - 2 - and - 3 -.






To access the mounting bolt - 3 -, it may be necessary depending on equipment to loosen the line bracket of the pipes routed above it.

- Disconnect hose connection from Windshield Washer Pump (V5) - 4 - and use a suitable container to collect the draining washer fluid.

- Disengage and disconnect harness connector on the Windshield Washer Pump - 4 -.

- Remove the washer fluid reservoir - 5 - upward from the vehicle.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

When installing the windshield washer system tank, make sure that the surrounding lines are not pinched and are clipped back into the tank in their original positions.

- Tighten all threaded connections to the specification shown in => [ Windshield Washer System Overview ] Windshield Washer System Overview.
