Sunroof Glass Panel

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing






- Slide sun visor - 4 - toward the rear.

- Open the glass panel for the panorama sunroof.

- Remove the inner boot - 3 - from the retaining plate - 2 - - arrow a -.

- Remove the bolts - 5 - at left and right.

- Press the glass panel - 1 - on one side slightly upward - arrow b - and remove the exterior boot - 7 - in the - direction of the arrow c - from the retaining plate - 6 -.

- This step is repeated for the other side.

Outer bellows - 7 - remains adhered to the frame in lower area - 8 -.

- Lift out the glass panel - 1 -.

Installation

• Screws are microencapsulated and must always be replaced after removing.






- Insert the glass panel - 1 - in the frame.

- Press the exterior boot - 7 - into the retaining plate - 6 -.

- Gently tighten the left and right bolts - 5 -.

- Adjusting glass panel for panorama sunroof (height adjustment), refer to => [ Glass Panel Height Adjustment ] Glass Panel Height Adjustment

• Tighten securing screws - 5 - after panel height adjustment to the tightening specification 5.5 Nm.

• Install inner bellows - 3 - after the securing screws have been tightened with the specified torque.
