• Before troubleshooting or servicing, the technicians must be familiar with the function and operation of the radio and radio navigation system.
• Additional information may be found in the Owner's Manuals.
• For servicing or fault finding, use Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in "Guided Fault Finding" and.
• When the battery is connected, check the all the vehicle accessories (radio, clock, electronic conveniences, etc.) according to the repair information and/or the Owner's Manual.
Two amplifier versions are available:
• 8-channel amplifier as "Volkswagen sound system" as well as "Monsoon" sound system or
• 10-channel amplifier as "Dynaudio Authentic Fidelity" sound system
Sound system amplifiers serve to expand the sound of the radio or radio navigation system.
The activation of signal inputs to the amplifier occurs via the radio unit or the radio navigation system speaker outputs.
The amplifier is installed under the left front seat.

Removing
Perform the following steps before starting:
- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the key.
- Move the seat into the uppermost and furthest toward the rear position.
- Unclip the lower cover from the seat in the - direction of the arrow -.
- Remove the bolts - arrows - from the amplifier.
- Remove the amplifier far enough until the amplifier connectors are accessible.
- Release and remove the connectors from the amplifier - arrows -.
- Remove the amplifier.
Installing
- Make sure that the amplifier is slid correctly into the notch on the bracket - arrows - when installing.
Remaining installation is in reverse order of removal.
