Undamaged Side Window, Removing

• Removing is described only for the left side window. Removing the right side window is derived accordingly from this.

In window separation area, protect side panel and roof against paint damage with adhesive tape.

- Remove the door inner seal molded part on the B-pillar from the body flange near the side window, refer to => [ Inner Door Seal ] Inner Door Seal.

- Lay the cutting wire - 1 -, as shown,surrounding under the side window seal in the window glass flange.






- Secure the ends - x - and - y - in two pull handles (V.A.G 1351/1).

- Pull cutting wire forward in the direction of - arrow A - using light sawing motions and cut through lower adhesive sealing material on the side panel and on the roof frame.

- Then pull cutting cord through in the direction of - arrow B - downward through adhesive sealing material on the B-pillar.

• Increased counter forces are used at the clip => [ (Item 2) Clip ] Side Window Assembly Overview positions.

- Remove window from window opening.
