High Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

High Pressure Sensor (G65)

The high pressure sensor can be removed without discharging the refrigerant circuit.

There is a check valve installed in the refrigerant line.

If when loosening the high pressure sensor for longer than 1 second coolant is leaking, the high pressure sensor should be secured again and the refrigerant drained. The check valve in the refrigerant lines is defective and must be replaced.

Removing

- Disconnect the connector from the high pressure sensor - 1 -.

- Remove the high pressure sensor - 1 - from the high pressure line (8 Nm).

Counter-hold the high pressure line/line connections for the high pressure sensor with a suitable tool when loosening and tightening.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

Always replace the O-ring on the high pressure sensor.
