Leak Detection Pump: Service and Repair






Leak Detection Pump (V144)

Removing

- Remove the right rear wheel housing liner..

- Remove the rear bumper cover.

- Disconnect the lines - 2 and 3 - by activating the release. Disconnecting the couplings, refer to => [ Coupling, Disconnecting ] Service and Repair.






- Loosen the bolts for the lower bumper mount from the body and remove the mount.

- Loosen the bolt and nut - arrows - from the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister - 1 -.

- Loosen the EVAP canister from the mount in the longitudinal member and disconnect the connector from the leak detection pump.

- Remove the EVAP canister.






- Loosen the screws - 2 - and remove the leak detection pump - 3 - and the air filter housing - 4 -.

- Remove the air filter housing - 4 - from the leak detection pump - 3 - by activating the release.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

Leak detection pump bolt tightening specification, see item 5 in the => [ EVAP System Component Overview ] Service and Repair.

Attach the vent lines so that they click into place.
