Evaporative Emission Control Canister: Service and Repair
EVAP Canister
Removing
- Remove the right rear wheel housing liner.
- Remove the rear bumper cover.
- Disconnect the lines - 2 and 3 - by activating the release. Disconnecting the couplings, refer to => [ Coupling, Disconnecting ] Service and Repair.
- Loosen the nut for the lower bumper mount on the body - lower left bubble -, and remove the mount.
- Loosen the bolt and nut - arrows - from the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister - 1 -.
- Loosen the EVAP canister from the mount in the longitudinal member and disconnect the connector from the leak detection pump.
- Remove the EVAP canister.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:
• Attach the vent lines so that they click into place. Refer to => [ Coupling, Disconnecting ] Service and Repair.
