Air Injection Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair

Secondary Air Injection Solenoid Valve (N112)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Remove the engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to => [ Air Filter Housing ] Air Filter Housing.

- Remove the battery and the battery tray.

- Disconnect the connector - A - and the connecting pipe - B - from the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) solenoid valve.






• Press the securing ring to disengage the connecting pipe.

- Loosen the coolant pipe by removing the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the AIR solenoid valve.






Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Secondary Air Injection System Component Overview ] Service and Repair.

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Replace the seal.

- Observe the notes after connecting the battery.
