Headlamp Range Control Positioning Motor, HID Headlamp

• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removing

- Remove the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.






- Remove the cover - 2 - from the headlamp - 1 -.

- Remove the HID lamp. Refer to => [ HID Headlamp Bulb ] HID Headlamp Bulb.

- Turn the adjustment motor - 1 - in the direction of the arrow - 2 - with a small screwdriver.






Move the adjustment motor toward the rear when the end position is reached.

- Push the ball end of the positioning stem out of the reflector joint - 1 - and remove the adjustment motor from the bayonet - 2 -.






- Release and disconnect the connector on the adjustment motor.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp ] Headlamp.

- Tighten the bolts to the tightening specification shown in => [ HID Headlamps Overview ] HID Headlamps Overview.

- Check headlamp for functions.

- Perform basic setting of headlamps. Refer to => [ Headlamp, Performing Basic Setting ] Testing and Inspection.
