Front Heat and Fresh Air Controls

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

• The controls for the heat and fresh air are comprised of 2 separable housing halves (front and rear). Position the control knobs for the heat and fresh air in the following places before beginning removal:

• Knob for heat control on "cold",

• Knob for blower on "0",

• Knob for air vent direction on "footwell".

Removing

- Disconnect the battery.

- Remove the trim - 1 - with the (3409). Refer to Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim.

- Remove the bolts - 2 - (1.5 Nm) from the controls for the front heat and fresh air - 3 -.






- Remove the bolts - 1 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove the front controls for the heat and fresh air - 3 - from the rear section, while disconnecting the connectors for the wiring harness - 2 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

• The control knobs for the heat and fresh air must be placed in the same position before installing (see removal).

• Only in this way will both halves of the housing fit together.

• After the installation perform a functional test.
