Cabin Ventilation Duct: Service and Repair

Flexible Air Distribution Shaft

• Only for vehicles without A/C System and for vehicles with A/C system removed.

• The air distribution for vehicles with climatronic is regulated with the front air distribution door motor (V426) and the front air distribution door motor position sensor (G642) => [ Front Air Distribution Door Motor (V426) with Position Sensor (G642) ] Front Air Distribution Door Motor (V426) with Position Sensor (G642).

Removing

- Disconnect the battery.

- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim.

Move the flexible shaft in to the following position:

• Turn the knob for air distribution - 4 - until the retainer - arrow a - for the flexible shaft- 1 - is visible in the set-up gear - 2 -.

- Release the retainer - arrow a - from the flexible shaft - 1 - with a small screwdriver and remove it from the set-up gear - 2 -.

- Release the retainer - arrow b - for the flexible shaft - 1 - and remove the shaft from the rear controls for the heat and fresh air - 3 -.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.

- Install the glove compartment. Refer to Storage Compartments, Covers and Trim.
