Level Control Solenoid Valve: Service and Repair






Adaptive Suspension Valve Block

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Vehicle Diagnostic Tester (VAS 5051B)

Removing

- Bleed the accumulator using the (VAS 5051B).

- Activate the vehicle lift mode and place the vehicle on the lifting platform. Refer to => [ Vehicle Lift Mode ] Description and Operation.

- Clean the area of the pressure-holding valves at the front air spring shock absorbers.

- Unscrew the air lines from the pressure-holding valves of the front air spring shock absorbers - 1 -.






- Clean the area of the pressure-holding valves at the rear air spring shock absorbers.

- Unscrew the air lines from the pressure-holding valves of the rear air spring shock absorbers - 1 -.






- Remove the right underbody trim.

- Disconnect the harness connector - 1 - from the adaptive suspension valve block (NX7).






- Remove the air lines - 1 - through - 6 - from the adaptive suspension valve block.






- Unscrew the bolts - arrows - and lower the compressor with the adaptive suspension valve block - 1 - approximately 10 cm and secure.






- Unscrew the bolts - arrows - and remove the adaptive suspension valve block.






Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Prior to installation of the air line, ensure that only the second marking - arrow B - on the air line is visible.






The distance - a - from the end of the air line to the cutting ring - 1 - must be between 4 mm and 6 mm.

Connector assignment for the air lines at the adaptive suspension valve block:






1. Black, drain line

2. Blue, internal air line between the adaptive suspension valve block and the compressor

3. Yellow, air line toward the right rear air spring shock absorber

4. Green, air line toward the right front air spring shock absorber

5. Violet, air line toward the left front air spring shock absorber

6. Red, air line toward the left rear air spring shock absorber

7. Black, air line from the compressor to the accumulator


- Fill the accumulator using the (VAS 5051B). Refer to => [ Accumulator, Filling ] Procedures.

Tightening Specifications
