Upper Coolant Pipe

Removing

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining ] Coolant, Draining.

- Remove the oil cooler. Refer to => [ Engine Oil Cooler, Pressure Regulator Valve and Oil Filter Housing Overview ] Engine Oil Cooler, Pressure Regulator Valve and Oil Filter Housing Overview.

- Loosen the clamp - 2 - and remove the coolant hose.






• Ignore - 1 and the arrow -.

- Remove the front coolant pipe from the cylinder block.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Replace the O-ring.

• Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type. Refer to the Parts Catalog.

- Clean and/or smooth the sealing surfaces for the O-rings.

- Coat the O-ring with coolant and slide it onto the coolant pipe.

- Install the oil cooler. Refer to => [ Engine Oil Cooler, Pressure Regulator Valve and Oil Filter Housing Overview ] Engine Oil Cooler, Pressure Regulator Valve and Oil Filter Housing Overview.

- Fill the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Filling ] Coolant, Filling.
