Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Fresh Air Blower (V2)

• The blower motor and series resistor form a single unit and can only be replaced together. Refer to Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

Removal

The fan wheel can become deformed.

Setting the fresh air blower down incorrectly causes the fan wheel to become unbalanced.

Set the fresh air blower down so that the fan wheel is free.

- Turn off all electric consumers.

- Switch off the ignition.

- Remove the key.

- Remove the footwell trim on the front passenger side.

- Remove the footwell vent on the front passenger side. Refer to => [ Footwell Vent, Front Passenger Side ] Footwell Vent, Front Passenger Side.

- Remove screws - 2 -.

- Disconnect harness connector - 1 - from fresh air blower - 3 -.

- Pull off fresh air blower - 3 - in a downward direction.






Installation

The fan wheel can become deformed.

Set the fresh air blower down so that the fan wheel is free.

- Install the fresh air blower in the reverse order.
