Auxiliary Water Pump: Service and Repair

Recirculation Pump (V55)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Hose Clamps Up To 25 mm Diameter (3094)

• The recirculation pump is installed in the left front wheel housing behind the wheel housing liner.

• The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm. If necessary, release system pressure prior to repair work.

Removal

- Turn off all electric consumers.

- Switch off the ignition.

- Remove the key.

- Remove the left front wheel housing liner..

- Discharge the coolant circuit.

- Clamp the coolant hoses using the (3094).

- Unscrew bracket - 1 - from the body and remove recirculation pump - 2 -.






Installation

• When installing the pump, make sure the coolant hoses are secured with the clamps and the coolant pipes are installed without tension.

• Coolant circuit, filling and bleeding.
