General Information

• Before troubleshooting or servicing, the technicians must be familiar with the function and operation of the radio navigation system.

• For additional information, refer to the Operating instructions.

• The radio has Anti-Theft Component Protection.

• When performing service work or fault-finding, use Diagnostic Operation System (VAS 5051) or Vehicle Diagnosis and Service System (VAS 5052) in Guided Fault Finding and.

• When the battery is connected, check the all the vehicle accessories (radio, clock, electronic conveniences, etc.) according to the repair information and/or the Owner's Manual.

The following describe the main functions:

• A RDS radio receiver part

• A 6.5-inch color liquid crystal display

• Integrated antenna diversity

• A/C information shown in the radio display

• Optional integrated DAB tuner for digital radio reception

• Integrated 6-CD changer for MP3, WMA, AAC with ID3 Tag

• An SD memory card slot

• Memory for traffic conditions (Travel Information Memory - TIM)

• Optical Parking System

• AUX IN

• The view transmitted from the optional rearview camera appearing in the radio display

• 4 speaker outputs

The RCD 550 can be expanded to include the following components:

• Multifunction steering wheel

• Amplifier

• Cell phone prep Plus

• Cell phone prep Premium

The antennas are located in the rear side windows. The antenna system version has the diversity function.

There is also an antenna on the roof for the telephone and for the auxiliary heater remote start.
