License Plate Lamp

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove bolts - arrows - for the license plate light.






- Pull the license plate lamp out of its installation position while being careful of connected wires.

- Disengage and disconnect harness connector - arrow -.






Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the mounting bolts - arrows - to 1.2 Nm.






• There is a small silver protective strip - arrow - applied to the license plate lamp lens. This strip must always face the bumper when installing the lens.
