High Beam Headlamp Bulb

• The following illustrations depict replacement of right high beam headlamp bulb. Replacing the high beam headlamp bulb in the left headlamp is identical.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Pull off cover cap - 1 -.






- Rotate the lamp socket with the grip piece - 1 - in - direction of arrow - and remove it together with the high beam headlamp bulb , from the headlamp while being careful of connected wires.






- Pull the high beam headlamp - 1 - in - direction of the arrow - straight out of the lamp socket using the grip piece - 2 -.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:


When installing the cover cap, make sure the cap is properly seated. It is destroyed by ingress of water into headlamp.

• Do not touch the glass of the light bulb, when installing. Your fingers will leave traces of grease on the glass which, when the light is switched on, will evaporate and cloud the glass.

- Check headlamp for function.

- Check the headlamp adjustment and adjust it if necessary. Refer to Headlamps, Checking and Adjusting.
