Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)
• Ratchet, Reversible (V.A.G 1331/1)
• Socket 14 mm (3150)
• Tool Insert AF 19 (V.A.G 1331/5)
• Socket (T40055)
Procedure
• When reusing the high pressure line, pay attention to the cylinder allocation.
• The high pressure lines can be reused only after the following checks:
• Check the sealing cone on each high pressure line for deformation and cracks.
• The bores for the lines must not be deformed, narrowed or damaged.
• Do not use corroded lines again.
- Remove any dirt from the sealing cone on the rail.
- Clean the fuel line and line connection with detergent and dry it with compressed air.
- Lubricate the threads on the union fitting with fuel.
- Tighten the high pressure line union fittings by hand, making sure they are seated without tension.
• Tightening specification: 28 Nm
- To tighten the high pressure lines, use the following tools depending on the width across the flats:
Tightening the High Pressure Line to the Fuel Injector using a 14 mm Wrench
Tightening the High Pressure Line to the Fuel Injector using a 17 mm Wrench
Tightening the High Pressure Line to the Fuel Rail using a 19 mm Wrench
