Fuel Cooler Coolant Pump: Testing and Inspection

Coolant Pump/Fuel Cooler Pump, Checking

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Voltage Tester (V.A.G 1527/B)

• Test Adapter Kit (V.A.G 1594A)

• Wiring Diagram

Conditions

The fuses must be OK.

Sequence

- Disconnect the 2 pin connector - arrow - from the coolant pump (V36)/fuel cooler pump (V166).





- Connect terminal - 1 - on the coolant pump/fuel cooler pump to the battery positive terminal and terminal - 2 - to ground using adapter cables from the (V.A.G 1594/C). The pump must start running.

If pump does not run:

- Replace the coolant pump/fuel cooler pump.
