Cornering Lamp: Testing and Inspection

Cornering Lamp and Headlamp Range Control Module (J745), Coding

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Vehicle Diagnostic Tester

• A possible DTC memory entry "Data BUS comfort, check the DTC memory", must not be updated in the headlamp range control module.

• Correct all malfunctions in the Headlamp Range/Cornering Lamp Control Module.

• Correct all DTC memory entries Data BUS Comfort, the entry in the Headlamp Range/Cornering Lamp Control Module is automatically erased.

- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to => [ Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information Systems ] Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information Systems.

- On the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester, select "Guided Fault Finding".

- Using the "Go To" button, select "Functions/Component selection" and the following menu options in sequence:

• Body

• Electrical Equipment

• 01 - On Board Diagnostic (OBD) capable systems

• Automatic headlamp range control cornering light

• Automatic headlamp range control functions

• Coding the automatic headlamp range control module

- Check headlamp for function.

- Check the headlamp adjustment and adjust it if necessary. Refer to Headlamps, Checking and Adjusting

• Perform a basic setting on the headlamp after coding the headlamp range control module. Refer to Headlamps, Checking and Adjusting
