Windshield Wiper Arms

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Puller (T10369/1)

Removing

- Pry off covers - arrows - using a screwdriver.






- Loosen the mounting nuts - arrows - and then remove them.






- Mount the (T10369/1) - 2 - onto the end of the wiper arm - 4 - as shown in the illustration.






- Install the thrust piece - 3 - all the way and remove the wiper arm by turning the pressure bolt - 1 - clockwise.

- Repeat this process on the second wiper arm.

Installing

• Tighten the wiper arm mounting nuts to the specification only after setting the wiper blade park position.

- Deactivate APP function. Refer to => [ Wiper Motor, Deactivating Alternating Park Position (APP) Function, Through 05.09 ] or => [ Wiper Motor, Deactivating Alternating Park Position (APP) Function, From 06.09 ] Wiper Motor, Deactivating Alternating Park Position (APP) Function, From 06.09 if not already done by this time.

- With the ignition on, switch the windshield wipers on and off again to move the wiper motor into the park position.

- Place the wiper arms on the wiper arm shafts in the approximate park positions and tighten the nuts - arrows - by hand.






- Adjust the windshield wiper blade park position. Refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Blades, Adjusting Park Position ] Windshield Wiper Blades, Adjusting Park Position.
