Brake Pedal to Brake Booster, Disconnecting and Connecting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Release tool (T10006 A)

Disconnecting

- Remove trim below instrument panel.

- Remove bolts - 1 -.





- Remove cover - A -.

- For vehicles with manual transmission, remove connecting sheet between clutch and brake pedal - arrows -.





- Remove brake light switch - 1 - on vehicles up to 02.00 by rotating 90 degrees toward left.

- Remove brake light switch - 1 - on vehicles from 03.00 by rotating 45 degrees toward left.

- Remove brake light switch - 1 - on vehicles up to 11.06 by rotating 90 or 45 degrees toward left.

- Remove brake light switch - 1 - on vehicles from 11.06 by rotating 45 degrees toward left.

- Press brake pedal in direction of brake booster and hold.

3 Retaining tabs

- Insert release tool (T10006 A) and pull in direction of driver's seat, counter hold at brake pedal (pedal must not move rearward at this point). This will press the mount's retaining tabs - 3 - off the ball head of the push rod - 2 -.

• For the sake of illustration, the figure shows separation of the brake pedal from the brake booster with the pedal assembly removed.

- Pull release tool (T10006 A) together with brake pedal toward driver's seat. (This will pull brake pedal off of ball head of push rod).

Connecting

- Hold ball head of push rod in front of mount and press brake pedal toward brake booster so that the ball head engages audibly.





Installation is carried out in reverse sequence of removal.

- Adjust brake light switch for vehicles from 03.00 => [ Brake Light Switch, Adjusting, from 03.00 ] Adjustments.

- Adjust and lock brake light switch for vehicles up to 11.06 => [ Installing, adjusting and locking ] Brake Light Switch, Through 11.06.

- Adjust and lock brake light switch for vehicles from 11.06 => [ Installing, adjusting and locking ] Brake Light Switch, From 12.06.
