Brake Pedal Assembly Overview

CAUTION!
The path of the brake pedal must not be shortened by extra floor mats.

• Grease all bearing areas with grease (G 000 602 ) before assembling.





1 Mounting bracket

2 Self-locking hex nut, 20 Nm

3 Brake light switch (F) for vehicles up to 02.00

• Secure brake pedal at brake booster push rod before installing brake light switch => [ Hold ball head of push rod in front of mount
and press brake pedal toward brake booster so that the ball head engages audibly. ] Brake Pedal to Brake Booster, Disconnecting and Connecting.

• Check function of brake light

4 Brake light switch (F) for vehicles from 03.00

• Secure brake pedal at brake booster push rod before installing brake light switch => [ Hold ball head of push rod in front of mount
and press brake pedal toward brake booster so that the ball head engages audibly. ] Brake Pedal to Brake Booster, Disconnecting and Connecting.

• Adjusting => [ Brake Light Switch, Adjusting, from 03.00 ] Adjustments.

• Vehicles up to 11.06, adjust and lock => [ Installing, adjusting and locking ] Brake Light Switch, Through 11.06.

• Vehicles from 11.06, adjust and lock => [ Installing, adjusting and locking ] Brake Light Switch, From 12.06.

8 Pad

9 Self-locking hex nut, 20 Nm

10 Bearing bushing

11 Pivot pin
