Rear Window Wiper Motor (V12)


When disconnecting and connecting the Battery, the procedure must be followed as described in the repair information. Refer to=> [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

Removal

Remove the wiper arm before removing the rear window wiper motor. Refer to => [ Rear Wiper Arm ] Rear Wiper Arm.

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

- Remove the rear lid lower trim panel.

- Disconnect the connector - 3 -.






- Pull the hose connection locking ring - 2 - to open it and then remove the hose from the connection on the rear window wiper motor - 1 -.

- Remove the nuts - arrows -.

- Remove the rear window wiper motor from the rear lid carefully.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Before installing the rear window wiper motor, coat the inner side of the seal in the rear window with rubber- and plastic-compatible lubricant (such as polyethylene glycol).

- Make sure the seal fits correctly in the rear window opening.

Marking - 1 - of seal must align with marking - 2 - on rear window.






- Connect the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting.

- Tighten the threaded connections to the tightening specification. Refer to => [ Rear Window Wiper System Overview ] Rear Window Wiper System Overview.
