Hydraulic Hose: Service and Repair
Clutch Hose/Line Assembly or Plastic Line
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Hose Clamps up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)
Removing
- Remove the entire air filter housing. Refer to one of the following:
Diesel engines.
Gas engines.
• While performing the following work, make sure no brake fluid comes into contact with the longitudinal member or the transmission. If it does, clean the area thoroughly.
- Clamp off the supply hose to the master cylinder using the hose clamps up to 25 mm dia. (3094).
Remove the hose/line assembly or plastic line from master cylinder as follows:
- Pull the circlip - 3 - out using a screwdriver and remove the line - 1 - and O-ring - 2 -.
Do not press the clutch pedal after removing the line.
Remove the hose/line assembly or plastic line from the breather assembly as follows:
- Pull the circlip - 2 - up using a screwdriver or a pointed tool and remove the line - 4 - with O-ring - 3 - from the breather assembly - 1 -.
Installing
Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal while observing the following:
- Push in the hose/line assembly (or plastic line) - 1 - with a new O-ring - 2 - to the master cylinder connection - 4 - until the circlip - 3 - engages.
- Pull on the line to make sure it is secure.
- Push the line with the O-ring - 3 - into the breather assembly until the circlip engages.
- Pull on the line to make sure it is secure.
- After removing the hose clamp up to 25 mm dia. (3094) , bring the hose back to its original shape.
- Bleed the clutch system. Refer to => [ Clutch System, Bleeding ] 02Q Transmission.
- Install the complete air filter housing. Refer to one of the following:
Diesel engines.
Gas engines.
