Center Vent

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Removal Wedge (3409)

Removing

- Switch off the ignition.

- Remove the center instrument panel trim panel (Golf 2009).

Vehicles with a storage compartment in the center of the instrument panel

- Remove the radio.

- Remove the center instrument panel cover (Golf 2009).

Vehicles with a radio/navigation system

- Remove the radio/navigation system.

Vehicles built through 27 May 2011






- Remove the bolts - 1 - (1.5 Nm).

Vehicles built from 3 June 2011

- Slightly remove the instrument panel center vent - 2 -.






- Remove the 4 clips- arrows - from the vent - 1 - using the (3409).

- Disconnect the wiring harness from the emergency lamp switch (E3) and remove the vent from the instrument panel.

Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.
