12-way Seat Longitudinal Adjustment

• Removal and installation is described for the left-hand side of the vehicle. Removal and installation for the right-hand side is performed in the same manner.

Removing

- Remove belt anchor. Refer to => [ Belt Anchor ] Belt Anchor

- Position seat as far up as possible using height adjustment.

- Remove 12-way seat. Refer to => [ 12-way Seat ] 12-way Seat

- Mount the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) on the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Secure 12-way seat on fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove front seat trim. Refer to => [ 12-way Seat Trim ] 12-way Seat Trim

- Remove belt buckle. Refer to => [ Front Belt Buckle, 12-way Seat ] Front Belt Buckle, 12-way Seat

- Remove front seat control module. Refer to => [ 12-way Seat Control Module ] 12-way Seat Control Module.

- Remove screws - 3 - and - 5 - and unclip control module bracket - 2 - from seat frame.

- Loosen all wiring harnesses from seat frame.

- Disconnect connectors on seat height adjustment positioning motor - 4 -, seat longitudinal adjustment positioning motor - 6 - and seat inclination adjustment positioning motor - 7 -.

- Remove bolt - 1 - (20 Nm).





- Remove screw - 1 - (28 Nm) on right side of seat.

- Remove screw - 2 - (26.5 Nm) on right side of seat.

- Remove screw - 5 - (26.5 Nm) on left side of seat.

- Remove nut - 4 - (28 Nm).

CAUTION!
After removing pins - 3 -, seat can lower to lowest position. Clamping risk!

- Press pins - 3 - inward out of seat frame.

- Remove seat from seat longitudinal adjuster.





Installation

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.
