Parking Lamp Bulb

• Function of Left Parking Lamp (M1) and Right Parking Lamp (M3) can be checked using Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) of Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519). Refer to => [ Vehicle Electrical System, Output Diagnostic Test Mode ] Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

• Illustrations depict replacement of parking lamp at left headlamp.

• Procedure to replace Left Parking Lamp and Right Parking Lamp is the same.

Removal

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamps ] Headlamps.

- Remove cover cap - arrow - at headlamp housing.






- Press two retaining tabs inward - arrows - and remove socket with parking lamp.






- Remove Parking Lamp from socket.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• When installing cap, ensure proper seating. It is destroyed by entry of water into headlamp.

• Do not touch the glass of the light bulb, when installing. Your fingers will leave traces of grease on the glass which, when the light is switched on, will evaporate and cloud the glass.

- Check headlamp for function.

- Check the headlamp adjustment and correct it if necessary. Refer to Maintenance Procedures; Rep. Gr. 03.
