Headlamp Washer Pump: Service and Repair

Headlamp Washer Pump (V11)

The Headlamp Washer Pump is installed inside the reservoir for the windshield and headlamp washer systems in the left wheel housing.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the left front wheel housing liner.

- Rotate the clip on the hose connection - 4 - to release it and remove it from the headlamp washer pump - 2 -.






- If necessary, save the drained washer fluid in a suitable container.

- Unclip the wiring harness - 4 - from both mounts on the reservoir.

- Remove headlamp washer pump - 2 - upward out of tank.

- Disengage and disconnect the harness connector - 1 - and remove the headlamp washer pump.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten all threaded connections to specified torques shown in => [ Headlamp Washer System Overview ] Headlamp Washer System Overview.

- Bleed headlamp washer system after completing assembly work. Refer to => [ Headlamp Washer System, Bleeding ] Procedures.
