• Thrust Ring (VW 470)
• Socket and Extended Bit (T10107 A)
• Counter Hold Tool (T10371)

• Kukko Separating Tool 12-75 mm (17/1)
Removing
- Remove the noise insulation underneath the engine/transmission.
- Remove the bevel box. Refer to the following:
Tiguan, refer to => [ Bevel Box ] Bevel Box.
- Remove the circlip - 1 - from the stub shaft.
- Carefully remove the stub shaft - 2 - using a plastic hammer in the - direction of the arrow -.
- Arrange both parts of the tool so that the marks "B" face each other.
- The depressions - arrows - must be under the bearing.
- Attach both halves.
- Pry out the needle bearing circlip - A -.
- To prevent the running surface of the bearing on the shaft from being damaged, rotate the shaft while pressing - arrow -.
Installing
- Arrange both parts of the tool so that the marks "B" face each other.
- To prevent the running surface of the bearing on the shaft from being damaged, rotate the shaft while pressing - arrow -.
- Secure the needle bearing with a new circlip.
- Carefully drive the stub shaft in as far as the stop using a plastic hammer.
- Install a new circlip - 1 - on the stub shaft.
- Install the right drive axle.
- Install the heat shield. For the correct tightening specification.
- Install the bevel box. Refer to the following:
Tiguan, refer to => [ Bevel Box ] Bevel Box.
- Check the gear oil level in the bevel box. Refer to => [ Bevel Box Gear Oil, Checking and Filling ] Procedures.
- Install the noise insulation.
