Windshield and Headlamp Washer System Reservoir, with Auxiliary Heater

Depending on equipment, position of individual components may differ slightly from version shown in illustration. Removal is performed in the same way.

Removing

- Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical consumers and remove ignition key.

- Remove filler tube for tank for windshield washer system and headlamp cleaning system. Refer to => [ Windshield and Headlamp Washer Fluid Reservoir Filler Neck ] Windshield and Headlamp Washer Fluid Reservoir Filler Neck.

- Remove front bumper cover Removal and installation.

- Move the lock carrier to the service position

- Remove auxiliary heater air intake manifold noise insulation - 11 -

- Unclip bracket of air intake noise damper.

- To release, twist securing clips at hose connections - 3 - and - 5 - and disconnect them from Windshield and Rear Window Washer Pump (V59) - 6 -.





- If necessary, save the drained washer fluid in a suitable container.

- Remove Windshield and Rear Window Washer Pump ( V59) - 6 - upward out of tank and disconnect harness connector - 8 -.

- Disconnect harness connector - 4 - of Windshield Washer Fluid Level Sensor (G33) - 9 -.

- Pull Headlamp Washer Pump (V11) - 3 - upward out of tank and disconnect harness connector - 10 -.

- Unclip hose - arrow - from guide on tank.





- Unscrew mounting bolts - arrows - and pull out tank from bracket toward front.





Installing

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

- Slide tank for windshield washer system and headlamp cleaning system into its bracket from the front.





When installing, make sure that the three guides of the tank fit correctly into tank recesses - arrows -.

- Secure tank with bolts - arrows -.





- Reinstall air intake noise damper for parking heater.

- Tighten all threaded connections to specified torques. Refer to=> [ Specifications ] Specifications.

- Bleed headlamp washer system after completing assembly work. Refer to=> [ Headlamp Washer System, Bleeding ] Procedures.
