Drive Plate
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Depth gauge
Removing
- Remove the transmission.
- Lock the crankshaft, refer to => [ Crankshaft, Locking ] Procedures and remove the drive plate.
Installing
- Install the drive plate only using the washer with openings - 1 - and without the shim - 2 -.
- Install new bolts - 3 - and tighten to 30 Nm.
- Check dimension - a - at three points and calculate the average value.
Specified value: 18.8 to 20.4 mm
• Measure through the drive plate hole to the surface of the control housing cover.
If the specification is not obtained:
- Remove the drive plate and install the shim - 2 -. Tighten the bolts - 3 - to 30 Nm again and repeat measurement.
If the specified value is OK:
- Tighten the bolts to 60 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn, the additional rotation may occur in several stages).
The rest of the installation follows the reverse of the removal procedures. When doing this note the following:
• Remove the (T40069) from the rear of the cylinder block and install the locking bolt. Tighten the bolt to 45 Nm.
