Removal and Replacement






Lock Carrier with Attachments

Removing

The lock carrier is a safety-related component so it must not be serviced.

Replace the lock carrier if it is damaged.





- Perform service position of lock carrier with attachments - 1 -. => [ Service Position, Setting ] Lock Carrier Service Position

- Disconnect the electrical harness connectors present.

- Drain coolant and disconnect coolant lines

- Disconnect condenser lines

- With a second technician, remove guide rod (T 10093) on longitudinal member on left and right sides and lift out lock carrier.

CAUTION!
If lines for A/C system and/or for coolant are disconnected, the powertrain aggregate must no longer be started.

Do not hang condenser and hydraulic oil cooler on hoses.

Lines for condenser and hydraulics must not be kinked.

Installing

To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.

Make sure that all plug- and hose connections are corrected installed when re-assembling.

- Center the lock carrier on the longitudinal members and between the fenders
