Front Crankshaft Seal: Service and Repair

Vibration Damper Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Pressure piece (T10354)

• Thrust piece (T10368)

Removing

- Remove the vibration damper. Refer to --> [ Vibration Damper ] Service and Repair.

- Install the (T10368).





- Pry out the seal.

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to --> [ Ribbed Belt Assembly Overview ] Ribbed Belt Assembly Overview.

- Clean the running and sealing surface.

- Remove the (T10368).





- Pull the seal - arrow - in all the way using the (T10354) and the vibration damper bolt.





• Replace the vibration damper bolt.

• Replace O-ring - 1 -.





The rest of the install is basically a reverse of the removal sequence.
