Stabilizer Bar

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench 5-50 Nm (VAG 1331)

Removing

• The following work steps are described for the left side of the vehicle. These work steps also apply simultaneously for right side of vehicle.

- Remove the nut - 1 - and remove the coupling rod - 2 - from the stabilizer bar.





• Do not loosen the bolt - arrow - for the tie rod - 3 -.

- Remove the stabilizer bar bracket bolts - arrows -.





- Remove the stabilizer bar.

Installing

- Install the stabilizer bar in the vehicle.

- Install and tighten the stabilizer bar bracket bolts - arrows - evenly.





- Install the coupling rod - 2 - to the stabilizer bar and tighten the nut - 1 -.
